Welcome to the Merlin Model Flying Club Web Site. This site is for all our members and fellow model flyers who wish to keep up with club news and field events. It provides information for those that may wish to find out more about a local club, and for those just interested in what other model flyers are doing.
The club is predominantly used by model flyers who wish to fly powered aircraft of a vintage nature, low to medium sport and trainers. Due to the nature of the sport an integrated safety code has been established by the club committee, based on the codes laid down by the British Model Flying Association (BMFA) which the club is affiliated. The flying sites are restricted to members of the Merlin Model Flying Club, and anyone wishing to seek membership will have to apply accordingly.
As mentioned above the club is affiliated to the British Model Flying Association (BFMA) and insists that all its members obtain membership ensuring 3rd party insurance cover before flying can commence.
